Tuesday October 13th

Venture Lab Investment Forum

VentureLab Investment Forum is arranged in Oslo for the 11th time, from 8 am to 4 pm at Vindern konferansesenter in Forskningsveien 2a, and will gather approximately 200 participants. VLIF has become the largest venture conference in Norway, and is carried out in cooperation with Forskningsparken i Oslo, Norsk Venturekapitalforening and CONNECT Norge. The conference is aimed at investors and investor environments, and has a high international profile with speakers from the US and various European countries. The targets are to discuss professional subjects connected to innovation, and to present exciting growth projects to investors. For invited guests there will be a reception from 6-8 pm.

The ICT-conference ("Studiemøtet")

Studiemøtet is an international ICT-conference that has been running for almost 60 years. The aim is to promote innovation in telecommunication and the "hardware"-part of the ICT-business.  This event will take place in Forskningsparken from 9 am to 8 pm, look at Forskningsparken.

Akershus University Hospital

Morning event about high technoloy and the clinical "everyday", in Gamle Logen from 9 am. Norway's most modern hospital is one year old. The modern course of patients is a result of technology and innovation. Theme: Modern diagnostification and X-ray, mobile medical service, reorganisation of radiologic services, simulation of patient-logistics, proper nurse's competance at the patient's bedside. Oslo University Hospital and NHIIN

Afternoon event at Gamle Logen, with emphasis on technology, following the event of Akershus University Hospital and lunch at the same location. From 1.30 pm. Theme: Digital services and protection of privacy, cooperation for the best of the patient, cooperation with the patient. Innovationworkshop - Serviceinnovations for a sustainable green economy

Innovation workshop about renewable energy. Organised with BI, Abelia and the Norwegian Centre of Expertise in Energy and Emissions Trading, from 0830 am to 1 pm at BI in Nydalsveien 37. About innovation processes and service innovations as a contribution to a sustainable green economy. Knut Johansen at Halden's Norwegian Centre of Expertise in Energy and Emissions Trading will present how they work with innovation. Professor Torger Reve will speak about clusters. Young Entrepreneurship ("Ungt Entreprenørskap")

Leader for a day. A pupil "shadows" a leader through the day. Young Entrepreneurship aims to inspire young people to think untraditionally and to create values. Cooperation between academia and business - afternoon session at Ås

Kjeller Innovation Day

Campus Kjeller invites for the second year in a row to Kjeller Innovation Day in the new conference centre in Kunnskapsbyens Hus at Kjeller. Scientists, business leaders, environmental organisations and leaders of society are invited to a "foresight" on Norwegian research, innovation and business in the perspective of environment and climate in 2050. Students, scientists, companies and entrepreneurs are invited to present their visions and ambitions for Norwegian research and business towards 2050, and a jury will elect the winner of the award: "Verifiseringsprosjektet 2009". Damefeber 09 - Shoe yourself for success!

Damefeber '09 is a business- and networkingevent for women. This year's event will take place at Oslo Kongressenter/Sentrum Scene from 900am to 5 pm, with the theme: Shoe yourself for success! Here women that are into innovation and entrepreneurship may find contacts of business and be motivated by good role models. There will be success seminar, exhibition and announcement of the winner of Årets Damebedrift 2009.

The Drammen region: Modern and successful European Urban and Regional planning

Drammen has undergone great changes, and won the European Urban and Regional Award, category Urban Design in 2008. Now Drammen invites other international winners to a conference. Gründerjakten (the "Chase for entrepreneurs")

Four-five teams of studens compete to be the best entrepreneurs. It is about showing typical entrepreneur qualities. Focus is on personal skills. Gründerdagen (Entrepreneur-Day)

Full day (Heldagsarrangement) in Forskningsparken from 9 am to 4 pm. Theme: Internationalisation. Main sessions with international names in product positioning and international sale. Parallell sessions: Capital, Customer, Product and Organisation. Lunch with tapas and networking. Business Advice Event, appointments are made on the spot. This event is arranged i cooperation with Birkeland Innovasjon, VentureLab, Innovasjon Norge and Connect.

The effect of design

Norsk Designråd's Næringslivsdagen 2009. A day of skills for business leaders, with the aim to visualise professional designcompetence as a business tool for innovation. Seed Forum

Seed Forum in cooperation with PWC and the lawfirm DLA Piper. In the big auditorium in Bjørvika in Dronning Eufemias gate 8. Presentation of 7-9 companies from 9am to 1130pm, then networking to 1pm.

How to start the innovation engine? 

Induct Software and Bekk Consulting present Debra Amidon, chairman and CEO of Entovation International, a global innovation network of 150 experts in the discipline innovation from 65 countries. Ms. Amidon will speak about how to create an innovation Zone, and how to build an innovation community. The seminar will open with a greeting from Professor Henry Chesbrough, author of the book "Open Innovation", and Head of The Induct Software Advisory Board. Pangstart, final

Oslo Innovation Awards, Oslo City Hall

The Municipality of Oslo by Næringsetaten hosts a night of festivities and awards in the City Hall. With the founder of Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales, and a ten years celebration of First Tuesday.

Mobile Technology
