The Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise

The Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO) is the main representative body for Norwegian employers with a current membership of over 18,500 companies ranging from small family-owned businesses to multinational companies. The political traditions that NHO represents started as early as in 1886 when the Craftsman Association was founded.

NHO conducts comprehensive political work with the goal of developing the society that we live in as a whole, since this affects the conditions and premises under which our members can operate. A competitive public sector, a well-functioning educational system, more cost efficient transport systems and professional infrastructure are some of the tasks that NHO works on.

Companies that are members of the NHO are also members of a regional association. For the region of Oslo, the association is NHO Oslo and Akershus. The regional association is the companies’ local support office.
